Cleveland Browns The Buffalo Bills traveled to Ohio for a Week 2 preseason clash with the Cleveland Browns http://www.thebillslockerroom.com/authentic-harrison-phillips-jersey , and the Bills (1-1) emerged with their first win of the preseason after a 19-17 triumph over the Browns (1-1) Friday night. On the latest edition of the Buffalo Rumblings Podcast, co-hosts John Boccacino and Anthony Marino offered up their thoughts on what they liked and what they didn’t like from the win over Cleveland, along with offering up their takes on a newsy start to the week from One Bills Drive. Before breaking down the second preseason game, our podcasters gave their thoughts on the news that Josh Allen has been named the Week 3 starter when the Bills host the Cincinnati Bengals at 4 p.m. Sunday at New Era Field. Allen, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Wyoming, has completed 18-of-32 passes in his first preseason (56 percent completion rate), for 176 yards with two touchdowns and a 92.7 quarterback rating. Displaying solid scrambling ability, Allen has added 47 rushing yards on six carries. Allen getting the starting nod for Week 3 means that all three Buffalo quarterbacks will have received a start during the first three weeks of the preseason. Besides Allen’s stellar first two games of his Buffalo career, there was more good news on the quarterbacking front. AJ McCarron Chris Ivory Jersey , who initially was said to have broken his collarbone in the win over Cleveland, did not suffer a hairline fracture as was first reported. Originally it was thought McCarron would be sidelined for eight or more weeks with the injury, but now he is day-to-day. Back on the field, Boccacino and Marino discussed the aspects of the Bills/Browns game that they liked, starting with the quarterbacking play of Allen and Nathan Peterman, who has quietly enjoyed an outstanding first two games of the preseason. Peterman has completed 17 of 20 passes (85 percent completion rate) for 231 yards with two TDs and one interception. With a quarterback rating of 127.3, Peterman leads all QBs with 20 or more passes thrown in the preseason. Among the other positives from the win in Cleveland: the continued resurgence of tight ends Khari Lee and Nick O’Leary (combined for seven catches for 94 yards and a TD), a solid roster-spot clinching effort by running back Marcus Murphy (four rushes for 39 yards with a key 39-yard punt return), and good games from wide receiver Rod Streater and rookie defensive tackle Harrison Phillips. On the flip side Womens Trent Murphy Jersey , our podcast duo discussed how concerned the Bills should be over the erratic play of the first-team offensive line, which “led” by Russell Bodine and Vladimir Ducasse endured a nightmarish effort in Cleveland. Robert Woods, who has revamped his career with Jared Goff and Sean McVay, and Nickel Robey-Coleman has picked up where he left off during his time in Buffalo as a good nickel corner. Stephon Gilmore is having the best season of his career for the Patriots and Chris Hogan has sat comfortably with his 30-something catches for 500-ish yards per season for his entire career.
